Indicative of the potential high level of demand for PACE finance, Riverside County’s new HERO (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity) program has already approved more than $45.5 million in clean energy financing for 1,500 residential projects. Read More
Since its launch in January, the Home Energy Retrofit Opportunity program has received more than 1,600 applications, representing more than $33 million in 1,100 approved projects.
So far, about 250 contractors in Southern California have registered to promote the program for their clients.

The HERO program loans money from private investors to homeowners in western Riverside County who want to install residential solar systems, purchase high-efficiency appliances such as water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and attic fans.
